New Community Programming Grant Request Program to Support Local Events

RAVE is excited to announce the launch of the Community Programming Grant Request Program, aimed at providing financial assistance for community programming at the BMO Center, Coronado Theatre, and Davis Park. This initiative will enhance the cultural landscape of our community by supporting a diverse range of events in these popular venues.

Pilot Program Launching in 2025

In 2025, the program will allocate $10,000 annually to help cover venue costs for local events. The funding structure is designed for efficiency, with grants deducted directly from venue costs, eliminating the need for check writing.

“We are committed to fostering community engagement and cultural enrichment,” said Rudy Valdez, RAVE Board Member. “This program not only supports local organizations but also strengthens the vibrancy of our shared spaces.”

Eligibility and Application Process

Interested applicants must complete the Application for Community Events, which includes providing proposed event information, licensing organization details, and references. While applicants can indicate their desired funding amount, the final allocation will be determined by a committee review process.

Compliance and Award Details

It is important to note that funds from this grant cannot be used for event cancellations, and grants will be issued at settlement after the event’s completion. The committee will present its recommendations to the board for final approval.
